You can tell at the top and bottom where the lighting is, and it becomes noticeable when you' re close to the monitor and displaying blacks. The only real issue anyone might have is the backlighting - I notice it since I am a designer, but most people wouldn' t care. The blue glow of the power button isn' t distracting during the night, which is good, and there isn' t an array of other glowing icons or lights when the monitor is in standby like some other screens tend to have.In over a year I' ve never had an issue with dead pixels or incorrect lighting. It' s not as bright as some monitors, some LG and Dell monitors tend to be ultra bright to the point of discomfort, while some cheaper monitors don' t perform as well as you would want them to.The monitor itself doesn' t get really hot to the touch (the back is warm but not noticeable). I did research on this, and saw it in person a few times.
#Syncmaster 226bw specs how to
It' s a great example of how to do a monitor well without understating design, and without overpowering the media on the screen itself. The size is what drew me to this monitor, and the fact that it' s one of the only monitors from a company I trust available in stores. I picked it up on sale 2 boxing days ago, and I' ve been using it on a media/gaming pc I built around the same time. I' ve had the monitor for about a year and a half.
